The father of a Frenchman – shot dead yesterday by a soldier at Paris’ Orly airport – says his son told him he had “screwed up” and wanted forgiveness. The 39-year-old had vowed to kill others as he grabbed a gun from an anti-terror officer and shouted that he was ready “to die for Allah”. He’d previously spent time in jail for armed robbery.
