Gardaí are asking the media into the home of a 90-year-old man who died in rural Waterford at the weekend.
It’s expected they’ll launch an appeal for witnesses this lunchtime after Paddy Lyons was found in his home in Ballysaggart, Lismore on Saturday evening.
A post mortem is being carried out however the cause of death is being treated as suspicious at the moment.
Barry Roche is the Southern Correspondent with the Irish Times says the alarm was raised after Mr Lyons failed to attend a local funeral.
