THE FALL OUT FROM THE RIO TICKET TOUTING SCANDAL CONTINUES There are growing calls for the President of the Olympic Council of Ireland to face questions at the Oireachtas Sports Committee, over the Rio tickets scandal. Pat Hickey is in a stand-off with the Sports Minister, who is consulting with the Attorney General about his next move. It’s after Mr Hickey refused to allow an independent member join an OCI inquiry into how their tickets ended up in the hands of an alleged tout. Brazilian police have arrested one Irish man and issued warrants for four executives at THG Sports – the ticket company at the centre of the scandal.
