9 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN WEXFORD AS PART OF DRUGS OPERATION
A total of 9 people have been arrested in the Wexford area in connection with the supply of Heroin.
‘Operation Denver’ in Wexford town has resulted in seven men and two women aged from 22 to 61 years of age being detained.
The majority of them are believed to be from the same family – and were involved in street to mid-level heroin dealing.
They’re to appear before Wexford District Court next Monday.
In all 60 people have been arrested by gardai targeting the sale of drugs in Wexford along with Dublin and Cork.
The head of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Detective Chief Superintendent Michael O’Sullivan, said the operation would lead to serious shortages of heroin available for sale in Wexford and the other areas.
