875,000 EURO NPPR TAX OWED ON WEXFORD PROPERTIES
The tax bill for the Non Principal Private Residencies Tax will almost double to 7,000 euro if not paid by next Monday September 1st.
According to the Irish Independent today 875,000 euro is still owed on properties in county Wexford under this tax.
Outside of Dublin this is the third highest amount for any county after Cork and Galway.
The tax was introduced for the owners of second homes at the rate of 200 euro per house in 2009 and was
a forerunneer of the Prpoerty Tax.
For those who have have not paid, interest and penalties have been mounting with an average bill of now over 4,000 euro per house.
