ADAMS QUESTIONING RESUMED

Police in the North have resumed questioning Gerry Adams about the abduction and murder of Jean McConville.

The Sinn Fein leader spent a second night in custody at Antrim PSNI station last night, following his arrest on Wednesday.

He insists he had no knowledge of or involvement in the case.

Correspondent Fergal O’Brien says “there’s been dozens of cameramen and photographers and reporters and satellite trucks parked in the car park right across from the police station. That has been continuous since Wednesday evening.”

~It’s very much a case of the eyes of the world are on Antrim police station to see what the next development will be in this case” O’Brien added.

Meanwhile, the eldest daughter of IRA McConville says she is prepared to name the people responsible for her mother’s death.

Helen McKendry says she no longer fears reprisals by republicans.
