148 MILLION IN AID SECURED FOR IRISH FISHERIES AND SEAFOOD SECTOR
There’s good news for County Wexford’s fishermen.
Ireland has secured 148 million euro in EU aid for the fisheries and seafood sector.
The money’s being allocated from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
The IFA says the Government must ensure that every cent of EU funding is maximised to ensure the aquaculture sector reaches its true potential – and takes advantage of the growing high value market demand for seafood products from Ireland.
